How to set up a collector account?

1. Visit the 8mint platform at https://8mint.io and connect your wallet.

2. Now, set up your account to be able to use the 8mint platform. Follow the steps and screenshots below:

• Click on your wallet button in the top right corner of the screen and choose "My Profile" from the drop-down menu.

• The "Additional safety" function is turned off by default.

• If you want to turn it on, please, use the toggle button and add the required information. In the *"Authentication wallet" field, enter the address of a second wallet you own that is different from your *"Primary wallet". This is done so that the "8tacle" security system can protect you within the 8mint platform. (See explanatory notes below). After you enter the wallet address, click the "Update" button and continue on.

*"Primary wallet" is the wallet that you will use to store your platform pass, participate in raffles, whitelists, minting events, and perform other day-to-day platform activities.

*"Authentication wallet" is the wallet that you will use to collect the minted NFTs or if collab NFT ownership verification is needed. You only have to paste the address without connecting it to the dApp or signing any approval.

Ideally, your "Authentication wallet" should be on a hardware device like a Ledger or some other cold storage platform. You can use a second address on your MetaMask, but the whole purpose of using two wallets is for security and to safely store your valuable assets - so it is best to separate them onto entirely different platforms. Anyway, you can add an "Authentication wallet" address which is stored in the same MetaMask account as your "Primary wallet". But please note that the system will try to auto-connect as soon as a user switches between MetaMask wallets. This may be confusing so you can use the following trick (on a PC): In your desktop browser, open a new tab next to the tab running 8mint. Open Metamask in this new tab and select the authentication wallet. Copy the authentication wallet address to the clipboard. Change MetaMask BACK to the primary wallet and then close the tab. Now you can go back to the tab running 8mint and paste in the authentication wallet address from the clipboard as necessary.

• Scroll down a bit more until you see the screen below. Connect your Twitter and Discord accounts by clicking on the "Connect" buttons and follow the instructions.

Congratulations! You have completed the set up of your 8mint collector account! You can now start discovering blue-chip NFT projects within 8mint and feel confident that you are completely secured.
