How to prepare a collection with multiple Tiers

Collection Tiers represent the categorization of NFTs accordingly to their usage, rarity, assets e.t.c. For example, if you have created a game with 3 different characters and you want to make an NFT collection for those 3 characters, the right way is to make each character in a different sub-category of your collection which is called a Tier. e.g. If we have a Warrior, Hunter & Mage character and we want to make 1000 NFTs for each character, the best way to proceed is to divide them into Tiers sub-categories like this: Tier 1 - Warrior (1000 NFTs) Tier 2 - Hunter (1000 NFTs) Tier 3 - Mage (1000 NFTs) Total collection size: 3000 NFTs
Step 1: To generate an NFT collection separated into different Tiers, you must first prepare your assets as we explained in the page Turn your PNG files into NFTs. Each asset should be saved as a standalone, transparent .png file.
Step 2: Place your assets into separate folders according to their traits. For example, if your NFTs have assets like different hats, eyes, body colors, etc., organize them accordingly in trait folders named after the assets in that folder. E.G. In the image below we have a folder called "Shields" which represents that trait. In this folder, we have all the different shields for our NFT collection.
Once you have all of your assets in separate folders, you should have a collection of folders looking something like this.
Step 3: After you categorize your assets, create a new folder and name it Tier 1. Put all those folders containing assets into the folder named Tier 1.
P.S. The actions from Step 1 to Step 3 represent how to create one of your collection Tiers. Repeat the actions from Step 1 to Step 3 as many times as needed, depending on how many Tiers you want in your collection.
Step 4: Once you have prepared your Tiers folders you can proceed on generating your collection and preparing it for publishing Prepare your NFT collection for publishing in 8mint.
